Kari Lee Raybon.
Kari graduated in 1999 from the Ventura College of Law and won numerous awards at Law School including the prestigious AM JUR awards in Criminal Justice and Contracts. And she was also awarded the coveted Corpus Juris Secondum Award in Contracts and the Sui Generis Award which was awarded to her by her peers. She graduated in the top 10 percent of her class !
Kari has done numerous administrative hearings in her tenure as an attorney. She started her career working for the ex-Mayor of Oxnard CA doing worker's compensation hearings. She knows what it takes to win hearings.
She also has a Master's Degree (Master of Arts) from Webster University.
Kari is a caring mother of three with the the youngest being 12 years old.
James R. "Jimmie" Askew
Jimmie graduated from Santa Barbara College of Law in 1999 and has been an attorney for approximately 20 years. He has tried over 60 jury trials, and has personally handled and negociated thousand's of criminal cases; from misdemeanors to serious three - strike felonies, including homocides.
A highly respected attorney, Jimmie worked in Shasta County as a Deputy Public Defender where he handled the DUI cases and trained new misdemeanor attorneys. While working for the Public Defender's office, he won more NOT GUILTY verdicts on DUI cases than any other criminal defense attorney in the county for three years straight.
Jimmie also has experience handling large prominent national cases. Such as P v. J.B., a case that was covered Nationally (Fox news, CBS, ABC news). And P v. Armitage, which, until recently, was the largest Ponzi - scheme case ever filed by the California Attorney General's office at the time (filed by Jerry Brown, the then California Attorney General).
Prior to being an attorney, Jimmie Askew was a licensed CPA (Certified Public Accountant.) He also taught accounting and finance classes at UCSB and coached the Shasta High mock trial team.
